GARDEN ANGELICA WHOLE EXTRACT

«Angelica (Angelica sinensis). For thousands of years this species has been cultivated for medicinal purposes, for the treatment of a wide variety of disorders and in particular of female disorders: dysmenorrhoea, amenorrhoea, metrorrhagia (breakthrough bleeding) and menopause symptoms (especially hot flashes) and to ensure a healthy pregnancy and normal childbirth. Uterine tonic.
It is also used in the treatment of abdominal pain, anaemia, injuries, arthritis, migraine and many other pathological conditions….
Chinese Angelica contains highly active phyto-oestrogens, although in much lower quantity than that of animal oestrogens. It can be used in disorders resulting from oestrogen deficiency as well as in those caused by their excess! [3]. This action largely explains the use of the plant in amenorrhoea and menopause!
It has a remarkable hypotensive property largely due to vasodilator activity, also coronary; in addition, it also plays a spasmolytic action, has a negative inotropic and anti-arrhythmic effect.
It has shown a relaxing effect on the smooth muscle of intestine and uterus. … This confirms its historical use in the treatment of intestinal spasm, uterine cramps, and migraine. Its action on other smooth muscles may explain the hypotensive action (vascular smooth muscle) and anti-asthmatic activity (bronchial smooth muscle). It has also shown painkilling and slightly … tranquilising effects. The analgesic action has been 1.7 fold greater than that of salicylates ... against migraines, headaches, arthritis, and in traumas.
Indicated for the prevention and treatment of allergic symptoms (caused by pollen, dust, animal hair, food, etc.). …
Demonstrated an immune-modulating … activity, it stimulates the production of interferon, acts as an anticancer agent and promotes the activation of the complement system.
Antibacterial activity against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria» [1].
